What does it cost?
Nothing today. There is no subscription and no fee to trade. Paid options may come later for heavier use, along the lines of very large collections or heavier use. Trading is the point of the app, and that’s what we want people doing.
Can I buy or sell cards on TraderPost?
Not yet. Trading is the whole app right now: you and the other collector agree on the swap and hand the cards over yourselves. Buying and selling are on the roadmap, under what we’re working on now.
How far away can the other collector be?
Your call, per search: within 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 miles, or any distance at all.
How does the app know whether a trade is fair?
It totals the current market value of each side from the same daily catalog prices and shows the gap in dollars. Within 10% of the larger side reads as fair. Past that, it tells you roughly what to add. It’s a reference, not a verdict.
Which games are supported?
Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering, with market values that refresh daily. The Pokémon catalog is complete, back to the earliest sets; Magic covers its current sets. A third game is on the roadmap.
Is there a web version?
Not yet. TraderPost is an iOS and Android app. This site is all there is on the web for now.
